Cancer is increasingly recognized as a chronic condition requiring ongoing management. We are interested in researchers whose training and experience allow rigorous study of any aspect of the cancer control-employment relationship. Relevant topics of study include, but are not restricted to, cancer treatment and worker performance; job-related challenges to effective cancer treatment; cancer survival, continued employment, and worker performance; and pediatric cancer and parental employment. We are interested in individuals capable of designing and implementing innovative research projects using novel data collection and analytic techniques. Ideally candidates will have experience conducting translational research, but those more focused on community, organizational, or clinical research are also encouraged to apply.
This position requires demonstrated ability to conduct outstanding scholarly work and to obtain peer-reviewed funding. Successful applicants will serve as principal investigator on their own projects and as co-investigator with multi-disciplinary research teams.
